The 10th Annual Symposium on Poverty Research in Sri Lanka on Child Poverty
by   on 2009-12-04 16:39:20

The 10th Annual Symposium on Poverty Research in Sri Lanka, organised by CEPA is scheduled to be held on 4 December 2009. The thematic focus of this year’s Symposium is child poverty with a view to provide an alternative understanding to inform policy and practice.

The Symposium provides an opportunity to present research papers and alternative media material that will contribute to the core topic of child poverty. Submissions are sought from Sri Lankan organisations and individuals working in this field. Authors are invited to send a one-page abstract in English, Sinhala or Tamil along selected themes detailing objectives, main issues considered, methodology and current status of work.

In an effort to maximise impact of the symposium and facilitate linkages between research, policy and practice CEPA seeks to involve state and non-state organisations. Organisations are invited to participate in organising the event with CEPA and/or provide financial support for the event.
