along with micro finance are the most powerful mechanisms that we use to empower poor families that are economically and mentally bound in a vicious cycle. Identifying the poor and needy families, building their independent institutions and providing the space to analyze their socio-economic realities through training programmes are some of the methods used, among other such participatory and interactive activities. One of the most productive of these various methods is the concept of relating stories of success based on the experience of our most successful clients. This compilation of success stories, by our General Manager Mr. Mahinda Wickramasinghe aims to popularize the idea that thousands of poor families can overcome their poverty. Furthermore, it also gives recognition to the families in this compilation who have attained success. These success stories aim to direct the reader towards a more positive form of emulation.
