This is the first volume published on a Citizens Social Charter for South Asia (CSCSA). It is divided into two parts. Part 1 presents the CSCSA and the National Citizens Social Charters prepared by citizen’s groups n each of the following countries: Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Part 2 of the volume reviews the preparatory process involved in drafting these charters. The CSCSA as well as the national charters published in this volume should serve as instruments for social mobilization by citizens groups across South Asia.
