This publication talks about the Aadhaar project which is handled by the UID (Unique Identification Authority of India) by introducing a special identification number for every citizen in India for security purposes. After considering many case studies, it explains how this implementation impacts on the migrant population who are away from the state. Furthermore, it talks about the political influence, limitations and issues pertaining to identifying Pakistani migrants in India including other related factors about the project.
