This publication has two sections: a brief introduction to the Family Rehabilitation Centre (FRC) gives a thumbnail sketch of the mission and the main programme activities carried out by the FRC. This is meant to serve as a backdrop to the section that follows, in order to give the readers a proper perspective to comprehend the relevance of the main text. The second section deals with two vital aspects in the treatment and management of torture survivors. The information contained in this publication should be of great relevance to all medico-legal professionals and many other activists who are associated with the tasks of ameliorating psychological distress of victims of torture.
