This paper examines the definition of childhood poverty and answers several critical questions that are related to the concept. When children and young people grow up without access to varied types of resources that are vital for them to fulfill their potential, it is known as childhood poverty. By highlighting childhood poverty, the needs of children are not being placed higher than the needs of other groups who may also be poor and marginalized. The paper promotes diversity in strategies for poverty reduction and eradication and the importance of different groups and stages in life have been highlighted to break away from poverty cycles.
