In 2002, the ceasefire agreement was signed between the Sri Lankan Government and the LTTE putting a hold to violence and bloodshed. But due to political arguments and disagreements, the peace process was a failure. This book explains the issues and different perspectives of unsuccessful peace processes. ‘Conflict and peacebuilidng’ has been written based on extensive field research and it highlights that the Sri Lankan case studies have important implications in liberal peace and post-conflict peacebuilding.
