On 29 October 2007, the Centre on Housing Rights and Evictions (COHRE) held a seminar on Housing and Property Restitution in Sri Lanka - Learning from other Jurisdictions. COHRE has been working in Sri Lanka since 2005 with, among others, a programme on Return and Restitution. This report is based on the presentations made and the discussions held at the seminar. It identifies the key aspects that were discussed and how they might be useful to the Sri Lankan context. It also aims to serve all those interested as background information for housing, land and property restitution in Sri Lanka
