This publication has two sections: a brief introduction to the Family Rehabilitation Centre (FRC) gives a thumbnail sketch of the mission and main programme activities carried out by the FRC. This is meant to serve as a backdrop to the section that follows, in order to give the readers a proper perspective to comprehend the relevance of the main text. The second section,medico–legal aspects of torture, focuses essentially on the judicial medical officers, other practicing medical officers and attorneys-at-law, etc., who are interested in this subject.
