This book portrays a unique study of mental health wellbeing as seen through the experiences and perceptions of people themselves in two communities in Sri Lanka – those in the South (Hambantota) who were exposed to the tsunami in 2004 and the Muslim community in Jaffna, who were refugees expelled from the north, and are now living in the north-western Puttalam district. This publication on mental health and wellbeing breaks new ground in bringing to the fore ideas that have been inadequately debated in the field of mental health.
