Commonly, in a society, psychosocial problems are widespread. It is estimated that in any given society, around 10% will be affected by mental health problems. Of these mental problems, the majority (90%) are of a minor nature. They can be called minor mental health disorders or neurosis. They develop out of the pressures of daily life, hence we can also use the general term psychosocial problems to refer to all these problems together. The average reader should be able to obtain an introduction to community mental health and awareness of common psychosocial problems and what to do about it. The text describes very simply, effective interventions for psychosocial problems.
