This publication by IPS present overall migration situation in Sri Lanka. Migration can be identified as the movement of people from their roots to other surroundings, whether inside or outside the country. Migration has multiple consequences on the economic, political, social lives on the people and the environment they live in. The main objective of this report is to provide comprehensive information on the migration trends in the country and to summarize existing knowledge on how these influence various dimensions of development.
