This publication has two sections: abrief introduction to the Family Rehabilitation Centre (FRC) gives a thumbnail sketch of the mission and the main programme activities carried out by the FRC. This is meant to serve as a backdrop to the section that follows, in order to give the readers a proper perspective to comprehend the relevance of the main text. The second section, physiotherapy, describes and illustrates the use of physical approaches in the prevention, maintenance and restoration of an individual’s physical, psychological and social wellbeing. This paper is primarily addressed to practicing physiotherapists, trainees, medical officers and other concerned paramedical staff.
