This research was initiated by the Centre for Environmental Justice (CEJ) to bring the people’s voice to the climate discussion forum starting in October 2008. The study mainly focuses on basic information about the evidences of climatic change in Sri Lanka and how people, communities experienced and adapted to these changing conditions. The study was carried out in all climatic regions of the country which are significant geologically, ecologically, commercially and culturally. A structured questionnaire survey was carried out to collect data from the participants and there were 397 responses altogether.
