The main idea behind the Regional Poverty Profile (RPP) has been to capture the overall trends of poverty in the region, to allow governments to be familiar with the experiences in other countries in the area of poverty reduction, and to derive the benefit from them. RPP 2004 aims at providing updated information on the prevailing poverty situation and policy variables, and provide an analysis of poverty trends. The report seeks to capture multi–dimensionalities of poverty in the region, with facts and figures.
