Results-Based Management (RBM) is a participatory and team-based approach to management designed to improve programme and management effectiveness, efficiency and accountability, that focuses on achieving defined results. Results-based management, therefore, is an approach that integrates the management of strategies, resources, activities and information about performance, with a view to improving effectiveness, efficiency and accountability, and achieving results. RBM can be applied in planning, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on any type of programme or management initiative.
