This is volume 15 of a series of research studies on children’s rights which focuses on the Kandy district. It looks into what particular aspects of Kandy contribute to the presence of street children. The volume relates Kandy’s history and discusses the special features that play a role in this problem. It also looks at the resources and social institutions that exist and other factors such as education, political links and factions.
