“Sri Lanka Health Accounts: National Health Expenditure 1990-2012” examines expenditure on health in Sri Lanka from 1990-2012. It presents the latest estimates of health spending from Sri Lanka's health accounts, which have been developed by IHP experts over many years to be fully compatible with international standards for reporting of health expenditure. Total health spending in 2012 was Rs. 252.7 billion, which was equivalent to 3.4% of GDP, and Rs. 12,388 per capita. The government directly financed 43%, while the remaining 56% was financed by private sources and 1% by donor agencies. Reference: Sri Lanka Health Accounts: National Health Expenditure 1990-2012
