The Human Development Report published annually by the UNDP since 1990, includes estimates of many indicators that measure the wellbeing of human beings. Since its initial publication, the report has incorporated various indices that may provide a better assessment of human wellbeing. The Human Development Index (HDI) provides a better estimate of development than the broadly used indicator, GDP, in terms of income, health and education, which are used as determinants of human wellbeing.
