Strategic approaches adopted to improve the quality of health services for non-communicable disease-affected persons will enable healthier ageing and reduce loss of productivity among the working age group population in Sri Lanka. This report aims to stimulate policy dialogue for control and prevention of NCDs and to provide an evidence base for selected non-communicable diseases (NCDs) to facilitate decisions required to improve the quality of NCD services to the people of Sri Lanka. The book provides a detailed step-by-step process to approaching literature review and applying principles to various literature review types. The book also consists of illustrated examples for each of the sections and gives scope to a wide understanding for those in the process of writing a literature review. The authors have extensive research expertise individually and are all part of the academia of the University of Sheffield.
