The South Asia Forum for Human Rights (SAFHR) is carrying out a paper series which is a part of its programme to develop a culture of peace and human rights through research, publications, education and people to people dialogue. The essays in this series were written over a period of two years and some of them were published in Indian and Pakistani newspapers. They are a result of the interactions that took place with different groups of people: politicians, pro-Indians, pro- Pakistan and pro- Azadi, Indian bureaucrats and common people of the Jammu valley. Each of them share their views on the ongoing peace process in Jammu Kashmir, with perceptions that differ.
