This issue of the Time magazine cover story carries excerpts from Jeffrey Sach,s book “The End of Poverty”. Sachs, is one of the world,s most distinguished economists, a man who has guided countries such as Bolivia and Poland through bad financial times. In this review, the author has attempted to construct a new way of looking at the plight of the world,s poorest people who number more than 1 billion. The magazine also carries an article on India,s poor and that the government cannot ignore poverty relief to the poor of the country.
