The report is a study on the impact on women affected by conflict in Post War Sri Lanka which covers cases of Marginalisation and poverty, Female headed households, Female ex-combatants, Land rights and Domestic violence. The areas in focus are pre-dominantly the Northern and Eastern provinces of Sri Lanka in regions such as Batticaloa, Jaffna and Vavuniya districts. The report has dealt with the topics outlined based on contributions made by independent groups such as Suriya Women's Development Centre, Home for Human Rights, Muslim Women's Research and Action Forum and Rajarata Praja Kendraya to name a few. The report has been formulated in keeping with Sri Lankan Constitution's guarantee of equality to women and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, assessing the impact through a framework of substantive equality and non-discrimination. Women and Media Collective facilitated the studies in collaboration with local bodies named above.
