This book shows how the lives of Iraqi women changed with the impact of United Nations sanctions until the removal of Saddam Hussein’s regime mainly in areas of employment, education, gender relations and how violence took over their lives in an unexpected way. Due to the UN sanctions, a major destruction occurred in Iraq leaving most families to struggle with the economy which affected women in a terrible way. Based on individual interviews from Iraqi woman, this book reveals heartrending incidents from their own life experiences.
