This book by Kiran Dhanapala and Priyantha Wijetunga, provides a detailed analysis of each stage of the evolution of the development of Micro Hydro power in Sri Lanka. It captures the important aspects that are useful in planning and implementing the development programmes. This publication is based on a study carried out in 1999/2000 as part of an international study for Practical Action. Since the commencement of this study, the micro hydro sector in Sri Lanka has progressed, but the lessons learned continue to be relevant to the modern day development programmes.
