This report is published based on case studies carried out in six locations across the country that are examined in depth capturing various circumstances in which children’s rights are violated or eroded, but the study provides recommendations to resolve these concerns. It specifically looks into four pre-selected dimensions of child rights violation; child labour, child abuse, sexual exploitation and education. The experimental case studies thereafter serves to develop strategies and interventions to reduce the adverse effects faced by children on different levels, focusing family and immediate environment, community and finally, national policies, external pressures and other influences. The second part of the report presents a review of policy, legislation, institutions and implementation that further highlights weaknesses and deficiencies prevailing in the system of upholding child rights.
