This textbook on ‘Development Planning’ aims to provide a comprehensive and practically relevant guide to strategic planning at postgraduate level. The author aims to bridge the calamitous gap that now exists between the development planning theory and planning practice. This book also promotes a more value based, action centered, and organisation inclusive approach to development planning than is normal. It also explores the different concepts of development planning and introduces a simple model of strategic planning and then elaborates more complex arrangements.
