Dynamic economic growth has substantially reduced poverty,however,1.8 billion people continue to live on less than $2 a day, and 903 million struggle on less than a $1.25 a day. The ADB is committed to alleviating this poverty in Asia and the Pacific. It strives to help developing member countries fight poverty and improve the quality of life of their people.
