Commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development this cross-section report by Stephan Klingebiel evaluates the impact of German development cooperation in the conflicts and crises of Ethiopia, El Salvador, Kenya, Mali, Sri Lanka and Rwanda. Aspects that have defused conflict situations as well as those that have exacerbated them have been considered in this context. The interaction of various instruments within the overall development cooperation framework has also been assessed.
