This study is based on people who are affected by natural disasters and inflation in the districts of Jaffna, Trincomalee and Mannar. CEPA’s study highlights that based on the four key features of education, livelihood diversification, asset ownership and the ability to apply for loans, influence the manner household issues can be handled. In addition, the study highlights the importance of engaging in a secondary and off season livelihood, especially by fishermen whose household income is depended upon the latter.
