This set of documents titled ‘Lessons Learned During 12 Years of Wetland Work in Sri Lanka’ follow the projects on wetland work that have been carried out by the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) supported by the Government of Netherlands. This particular section studies two resettlement projects in the Muthurajawela Marsh and Negombo Lagoon areas. The study focuses on the relocation of houses from the reservation areas to the designated construction area, socio-economic empowerment of fisher families, and establishing a model fishery village for successful replication.
