This report was coordinated by Vietnamese research institutions led by the Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences, with technical assistance from the World Bank in Vietnam. This report uses findings from rigorous research and analyses data from four rounds of the Vietnam Household Living Standards Survey, to explore recent trends in poverty in all its dimensions. It describes changes in various measures of poverty and inequality and in indicators of social progress over the past ten years.
