This publication aims to provide an unbiased account, a bird’s eye view, of the war and terror that prevailed in Sri Lanka, highlighting especially the impact it has on children. The author’s vision is to commit people to reflect at their own negative contributions to the problems of violence, corruption and war, and to confess what passive perpetrators they have been, by acting as silent onlookers. Accordingly the idea is that when ordinary and average people are mobilized to influence opinion, a positive, non-violent attitudinal change can be achieved. If so, it will contribute immensely towards creating social change in a distorted environment beyond money, power, violence and corruption, thereby leading the way for a peaceful society.
