This study is one of the first in Sri Lanka that engaged with children in an interactive, child friendly manner in order to gain their perspectives on education. The study was carried out with the intention that the initiative would lead to children’s views being given a serious consideration for policy designing that would directly or indirectly affect them. The Save the Children discusses the issue of inequities in human and material resource allocation in education. It is a step towards ensuring the right of all children to receive a quality education as declared in the Children’s Rights Convention.
