In light of the fact that by 2025 one-third of the developing world will face water shortages, this report discusses storage as a possible solution to the problem. The report looks at storage from all angles and it uses India’s storage problems and experiences as an example and looks into finding solutions to further development. It uses statistics to weigh out the advantages and disadvantages of each storage type. It also looks at other important factors such as the costs, technology, the role that climate change will play in water storage, and the factors that make water storage necessary especially in monsoonal Asia.
