This report, launched by the International Youth Foundations (IYF) asks practitioners as well as policy makers, educators and others who can influence the youth development field; to explore the challenges of ‘preparing young people to fill jobs that have not yet been created, or even imagined with tools that have not yet been invented.’ The report explores the global employment context faced by today’s youth. In particular, it examines how information technology is transforming the world, employment and livelihood opportunities, and what the implications of these changes are for young people, growing up in a variety of national and social contexts. This report aims at aiding those engaged in supporting youth development, youth employment and livelihood programmes.
